Ceremonies & Celebrations

Weddings

Congratulations!

As a marriage celebrant I am here to take you through each and every step to get you down the aisle and saying I do!

  • Marriage marks the start of a new journey – the foundation of a lifelong commitment to building a life together.

  • Your wedding ceremony is where your marriage starts, where it breathes life and takes shape. A moment where you both will come together and proclaim never ending love, appreciate each other and share before your community of family and friends your spoken promises that your intention is to join your lives in love and commitment for life.

  • Under Australian Law Marriage is a contract - entered into by two people, of their free will, to the exclusion of all others and for life.

A lawful marriage is performed by, in my case, an authorized Marriage Celebrant.

A ceremony may be performed in an Australian State or Territory, on any day, in any place and at any time that is agreeable to all parties.

  • My role encompasses several crucial aspects to ensure your wedding ceremony is seamless and memorable.

Firstly, I handle all the necessary legal paperwork, including:

    - The Notice of Intended Marriage, which must be completed at least 31 days prior to the ceremony.

    - The Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marry, typically finalised during the rehearsal.

    - The signing of the Certificate of Marriage, with three different types to be signed by you and two witnesses over 18 during the ceremony.

Secondly, I meticulously craft your wedding ceremony script, tailored uniquely to reflect your love story and convey the heartfelt sentiments you wish to share with your loved ones on the day.

Thirdly, we collaborate on a rehearsal, usually held the evening before the wedding. This session focuses not on rehearsing the script but on refining the music and choreography for the ceremony.

On the big day, I arrive 45 minutes early to warmly welcome your guests and assist with any last-minute tasks. I then proceed to officiate the ceremony, culminating in the joyous declaration of your union.

Finally, as you embark on your journey as a married couple, I take care of lodging your paperwork and officially recording your marriage, ensuring all legal formalities are attended to seamlessly.

  • I am based in Maleny and serve the Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast Hinterland QLD Australia

  • 2024/5- $650

  • As your wedding celebrant, I wholeheartedly endorse and honor the right of every Australian to marry.

Rest assured, you can rely on my unwavering respect and thoughtful consideration in every aspect of your journey towards matrimony.

Naming Day

For those who do not adhere to any particular religious tradition, a Naming Day presents the ideal occasion for celebration.

Whether you opt for a simple welcoming gesture or a formal naming ceremony, it's a wonderful opportunity to introduce your new arrival to your family and circle of friends.

During a Naming Day ceremony, you and other significant individuals in your baby's life can make heartfelt promises and commitments, envisioning the bright future you dream for your little one.

In lieu of Godparents, Guide Parents step forward, pledging their support and protection in front of your community, holding the same significance.

Incorporating readings and rituals enriches the ceremony, offering meaningful participation to all attendees.

While many choose to coincide a Naming Day with their baby's first birthday, you have the flexibility to hold it on any day, at any time, and in any location.

I am dedicated to crafting a beautiful ceremony that captures the sentiments you wish to convey, and I provide keepsakes for everyone involved.

Service Fee for 2024/5: $450
